Carbon14 dating of fossils confirms a young Earth

To begin, please note that Carbon14 dating is not the accepted form of dating fossils, it is now radio-isotope dating.

Carbon14 has a radioactive half-life of 5,730 years or a total existence of only 57,300 years.  Samples from ancient fossils, coal, oil, natural gas, limestone, marble, graphite, and even diamonds have shown traces of Carbon14 still active.  Rocks supposedly from millions of years ago in the Jurassic period have yielded dates of only 20,000 years old.  Carbon14 is even found in diamonds which scientists agree formed at least 1 billion years ago!

It should be noted that while I researched this topic I can across this statement: “A raw date cannot be used directly as a calendar date, because the level of atmospheric C14 has not been strictly constant during the span of time that can be radiocarbon dated.”  Wait, wait a minute!  Did they just say what I think they said?  Changes in atmospheric conditions can alter radioactive dating methods?  This is exactly what creationists have been arguing all along!  Scientists have no problem using this reasoning for Carbon14, but not for other isotopes.

Creationists would agree.  Carbon14 dating of items older than 6000 years is due to undocumented changes in the consistency of the isotope.  The same is true for other dating methods.

The only response evolutionists can give to this is that the sample must have been contaminated in some way.  It must have because the results do not align with their presuppositions!  Well, if that’s an acceptable excuse, then I say all of their dating methods have been contaminated too.  Glad thats been resolved now   🙂
